6 February 2018
Andrey Varichev, Chairman of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs' (RSPP) Committee on Optimisation of Control and Monitoring and Removing Administrative Barriers, and CEO of Management Company Metalloinvest, has been awarded the badge of honour of the RSPP for his productive efforts over many years. The award ceremony took place as part of Russian Business Week, and Alexander Shokhin, President of the RSPP, presented Andrey Varichev with the badge of honour.
Andrey Varichev thanked his colleagues for their high opinion of his work, and highlighted that it is the RSPP that is ensuring a constructive dialogue between the Russian state and the business community. He commented in his speech: "The RSPP is working to improve the business environment in Russia and create the necessary conditions for the efficient development of the Russian economy."
Andrey Varichev believes that it is very significant that the positive assessment of his efforts coincided with the specialist conference 'Control and Monitoring and Removing Administrative Barriers: the Interests of Business and the State', which is a genuine demonstration of the results achieved by the Committee on Optimisation of Control and Monitoring and Removing Administrative Barriers. He added: "Not long ago, we were discussing the necessity of introducing a risk-oriented approach and disclosing necessary requirements. Today, the managers of regulatory bodies are informing us of the results of putting these recommendations into practice, and government representatives are announcing new aims for reforms. The business community has not achieved such significant progress in many such important issues in such a short timeframe."
