Metalloinvest awards prizes to Zheleznogorsk teachers and teachers

In Zheleznogorsk, Metalloinvest's quarterly award ceremony for young teachers, as well as for scholarships for talented schoolchildren, has taken place. 15 teachers and 15 students received prizes.
Olga Zherdeva, a teacher of the youngest grades at lyceum #5, expressing her gratitude for the prize she received, commented: "Metalloinvest's support is very important to me. It serves as an incentive for young specialists."
The awarding of quarterly prizes to young teachers is a Company programme that began many years ago to support teachers at schools, kindergartens and further education institutions at the start of their careers, with less than 5 years' work experience. Schoolchildren who perform well in their studies, sport and creative endeavours also receive Metalloinvest scholarships once per six months. During the school year, 60 teachers and 30 students receive this kind of encouragement.
On this occasion, for their participation in an essay-writing competition on the theme of the 60th anniversary of Mikhailovsky GOK, 16 schoolchildren and their teachers received awards. Parts of the best pieces of work were included in the enterprise's anniversary book, entitled 'Mining Pride of Russia'.
Sergey Kretov, Managing Director of Mikhailovsky GOK, thanked the teachers and children for their interest in the work of the enterprise, Zheleznogorsk's main employer, as well as its production successes and social activities."
Sergey Kretov added: "We are glad that you are interested in and are taking part in our programmes and competitions. It is good to help when this boosts the effective work of the school and raises the results of its students in Olympiads and sports competitions. Our Zheleznogorsk schools are among the finest in the region, with Metalloinvest support: this is our joint achievement."
