Junior Zheleznogorsk teachers receive Metalloinvest awards
5 December 2017
Fifteen young teachers at kindergartens and further education institutions in Zheleznogorsk and the Zheleznogorsk district have received quarterly awards from Metalloinvest.
The young teachers’ awards programme has been run by the Company for many years and aims to support young teachers with fewer than five years' work experience.
Vladimir Batyukhnov, Director of Social Policy of Mikhailovsky GOK, noted: “As part of the programme we have been able to award prizes to 60 junior teachers in the town and distric. The Company also runs other programmes in support of the teaching community. Metalloinvest supports “Teacher of the Year”, a professional contest, and sponsors ‘The Calling’ award. As part of the ‘Healthy Child’, ‘Our Future’, and ‘Our Champions’ programmes, funds have been allocated for the development of educational institutions, sports and support of talented athletes, students and teachers.”
During the meeting, representatives of the enterprise thanked the young teachers for choosing teaching as a career and for leaving a positive impact on children’s lives.
Dmitry Yalishev, who was one of the recipients of the awards and a football coach at the Olympic reserve sport school, highlighted the importance of the support that the Company has provided to young athletes.
Dmitry Yalyshev commented: “Metalloinvest's awards represent a very positive way of evaluating the work and achievements of teachers, and also motivates us to reach for new heights. It is important for a coach to organise training sessions on a good quality modern field and take children to competitions. The Company has provided invaluable support to our sports school, and we are confident that even more new sports facilities will be built in Zheleznogorsk as part of the partnership framework.”Back
