History
1957 – Construction starting point of the mining enterprise for development of Mikhailovskoye iron ore deposit.
1960 – The first bucket of high-grade iron ore was mined in the pit.
1961 – Commissioning of the Crushing and Sorting Plant
1967 – Construction of the Mining and Beneficiation Complex commenced.
1973 – The first batch of iron-ore concentrate was produced.
1974 – The first section of the Plant was put into operation.
1976 – The Pellet Plant was put into operation.
1977 – One million tons of pellets was produced.
1978 – Pig iron, steel and non-ferrous metals mold Castings Plant was commissioned.
2001 – First in Russia modular plant to produce emulsified explosives was put into operation.
2004 – The mining output achieved 1 billion tons of iron ore.
2006
- The authority of sole executive body of JSC «Mikhailovsky GOK» was devolved to Management Company METALLOINVEST LLC.
- Mikhailovsky GOK won the fifth All-Russian contest "Russian Organization of High Social Efficiency”.
- For the first time in Russia among iron-ore enterprises the technology of magnetite concentrate flotation was implemented; Mikhailovsky GOK’s Quality Management System was certified for compliance with the International Standard ISO 9001:2000.
2007
- Mikhailovsky GOK won the sixth All-Russian contest "Russian Organization of High Social Efficiency”.
- The pilot Concentration Plant for production of hematite concentrate from tailings was commissioned.
- Construction start point of the Indurating Machine № 3.
2008
- Mikhailovsky GOK has successfully passed the first control auditing stage for compliance with international standard of Quality Management Systems ISO 9001.
- Acquisition of the mobile ecological station.
- The first batch of hematite concentrate from the tailings of wet magnetic separation was produced.
2009
- The beginning of implementation of the new automatic production system.
- Passed ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System and OHSAS 18000:2007 audits.
2010
- Mikhailovsky GOK started construction of Pelletizing Plant №3 — the largest in Russia
- Mikhailovsky GOK celebrated the 50th anniversary of the mining of the first tonne of iron ore
