Quality Management SystemThe high quality of Mikhailovsky GOK’s commercial products is achieved owing to the application of high technologies of production and modern methods of process management. In 2006 as a result of certification audit carried out by the certification center TÜV CERT (Germany) the Quality Management System (QMS) of Mikhailovsky GOK was recognized to meet the requirements of international standard ISO 9001:2000. In December, 2007 compliance with ISO 9001 was confirmed in the course of control audit. The representatives of an independent auditing firm selectively examined the process of iron ore mining and beneficiation where Mikhailovsky GOK showed modernization of operating processes as well as financial and transport services, personnel management. In January 2009 MGOK passed a second recertification control audit of QMS (spot check in divisions) according to terms of the certificate. No divergences or disparities with international standards were found. Auditors highly appreciated infrastructure development, work conditions and QMS processes improvements. In November 2009 MGOK passed recertification audit according to new ISO 9001:2008 standards. For the first time, MGOK simultaneously passed OHSAS 18001:2007 international standard certification. No divergences or disparities with ISO 9001:2008 and OHSAS 18001:2007 international standards were found. Implementation of integrated management system allowed the plant to link different processes, manage professional risks and lower production price; realize general strategy orientating the enterprise to constant development and management perfection.
